Pipe Welder Job Description:
We are looking for 15 Journeyman Pipe Welders that have a minimum of 3 years ship yard experience as a pipe welder.

All Pipe Welders  must pass the following hands on tests and be certified. Tests will be x-rayed. Welders must also pass a vision test. Requirements (weld process certs) =

• * T-1   carbon steel plate SMAW (stick welding)
• * T-14  copper nickel pipe, butt weld GTAW (tig welding)
• * T-19  stainless steel pipe, butt weld GTAW (tig welding)
• * T-54  stainless steel pipe, socket weld GTAW (tig welding)

WELDING  INSTRUCTOR Jobs
This is a full-time, tenure track, 175-day faculty position in the department of industrial technology. This position starts August 2012, pending board approval.
The faculty member will provide instruction in all aspects of welding technology.  The instructor will also be responsible for program review, schedule coordination, directing and working with part-time instructors.
In addition to teaching and keeping regular office hours, other duties during a 37-hour workweek include departmental and committee assignments, curriculum development, assisting with facility and equipment maintenance and coordinating the welding technology program with other programs in the industrial technology department, promotion of the welding technology program, articulation of the program with high school and university programs, and other instructional responsibilities as may be required.  The assignment may include teaching at off-campus centers and will include evening classes.

Welding Jobs Salary :
Hiring salary range is $48,736 to $69,854 depending upon education and experience.  A doctoral stipend of $2,000 is paid to those who qualify.
