Acuren Inspection, Inc. is currently recruiting for Level II UT Shearwave, MT, VT technicians to support our Pipeline Integrity program. Out of our Iron Mountain Michigan Location internal job code 1467.

Dig sites will vary throughout North America, primarily in the US.

The position is broad in scope, with direct exposure to many aspects of the pipeline industry.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

Assessing pipe condition by various means including UT shear wave, automated and manual thickness,sizing and detection, Magnetic Particle examination, Laser technology and visual methods.

Detailed reporting techniques including written forms, photographs, data input.

Soils and corrosion sampling

Job Qualifications:
The following skills, experience and qualifications are required:
Level II Ultrasonics ,Shearwave Magnetic Particle , Visual

Other considerations
NACE or AWS Certifications
Pipeline Integrity field experience
AUT/ Phased array experience
Superior communication skills, both oral and written
Organizational and time management skills
Interpersonal and leadership skills
Technical proficiency and attention to detail are essential to the position

Other Applicable Information:
Approximately 90% of your time will be spent in the field.
Per diem will be paid when traveling.

Primary Responsibilities
1. All PPU trailer build management activities at Subcontractor location in Jasper, Alabama.
2. Assure Trailer Build meets contracted schedules
3. Confirm all Quality Requirements are met and Manufacturing print dimensions are correct as installed
4. Oversight of Welding and First Article Inspections for completeness and accuracy.
5. Assist MCAT ISO Quality Manager performing audits and other initiatives
6. Facilitate and Manage problem/issue solving as needed
7. Generate operational and build reports as required
8. Create and maintain positive relationship with trailer vendor in issues resolution.
9. Other duties as required by Milton CAT Prime Power Unit program

Experience Required: Manufacturing/Quality Background- production shop floor, Welding knowledge-CWI Preferred, reading complex drawing packages, measuring and calculation of dimensions.
