Experienced Welding Engineer Needed! - Oshkosh, WI area
Our client, a leader in their industry, is searching for an experienced, degreed welding engineer. The welding engineer will be responsible for leading welding initiatives in the plant. Proven success in project management is a must.
Job Responsibilities:
Develop welding processes
Investigate weld defects
Supervise welding processes out on the shop floor
Improve current processes
Aid in materials selection
Train welders
Develop WPS
Troubleshoot
Suggest lean improvement efforts
Improve plant lay-outs
Qualified candidates will have at least 5 years industry experience in a non-automotive environment. This position is an extremely hands-on role for someone who enjoys getting out on the floor and working with manufacturing.
ABSOLUTELY MUST have:
* Bachelor's Degree in Welding Engineering or 2 years Associates Degree in Welding Engineering (NO exceptions!)
* 5+ years Non-Automotive welding engineering experience; heavy manufacturing experience preferred
* Experience and Proficiency in SMAW, GMAW, FCAW and resistence welding processes
Keep the salary requirements under $75K .
