Welding Job :MIG Welder in North Carolina (Dec 2011)


MIG Welders perform all required departmental welding operations following all safety, quality and lean manufacturing guidelines. We currently have multiple immediate openings for our 2nd and 3rd shifts and are offering a drug free work environment with highly competitive compensation and benefit package.  We are also offering relocation assistance!


Responsibilities of MIG Welder


  1. Perform required departmental welding operations.  Gas metal arc welding (GMAW) and (Stick Welding) Shielded metal arc welding (SMAW)
  2. Complete all required quality checks and adhere to Deere-Hitachi Quality Standards
  3. Perform welding that successfully passes visual / UT testing requirements
  4. Operate overhead cranes and fork trucks
  5. Follow all inventory control procedures for steel parts




Requirements of MIG Welder


  1. 1+ year of Solid Wire MIG Welding experience
  2. Spray Arc Heavy Plate Welding experience preferred and Arc Gouging skills preferred
  3. High School diploma, G.E.D. or High School equivalent
  4. Ability to read welding blueprints
  5. Ability to lift 70 lbs.
  6. Ability to pass hands on and written Welding Assessment Tests
  7. Ability to operate cranes and mobile equipment strongly preferred; will train

Starting salary of $17.84/hour plus $1.00 2nd & 3rd shift differential
