Goodrich Power Transmission Systems is seeking an NDT Technician. This is a 3rd shift position but may be required to work 1st shift temporarily for training. This position is responsible for performing all non-destructive testing duties.
Additional responsibilities include:
ÂObtains necessary stock, fixtures, tooling and gauging
ÂPerforms all specialized inspection techniques including:
NDT duties
Ultrasonics Level II
Mag Particle/Penetrant Level II
Hardness Testing
Radiographic Testing Level II
ÂHas obtained certifications for appropriate level of inspection and maintained them
ÂPerforms audit function in support of operator certification
ÂTrains new employees and Level I Operators for Level II status
ÂMaintains compliance of inspection equipment
ÂPerforms computer transactions
ÂMoves parts to, from, within module
ÂCleans inspection equipment
ÂMinimum of a high school diploma or equivalent, preferably technical school background, and demonstration of basic educational competencies (reading, writing)
ÂUT level II certification required
ÂPrevious multiple certifications to Level II in the following preferred: MT PT, UT, RT
ÂBlueprint and routing reading and comprehension
ÂCompetent with hand tools and experienced with weld equipment
ÂBasic computer skills such as log on, data entry and retrieval
