MANUFACTURING ENGINEER
Two areas of expertise sought - Welding and Assembly
Three total positions
Reporting and Supervisory Functions
Reports to the Manufacturing Manufacturing Business Unit Manager. No supervisory responsibility.
II. Basic Functions of the Position
Formulate, coordinate and implement all M.E. activities in area of responsibility.
III. Specific Duties
A. Be able to lead lean improvement (Kaizen, set-up reduction, 5S, waste elimination, etc.) teams in a production environment.
B. Plan, Prioritize, and Implement multiple-week projects involving team members from multiple departments. Demonstrate good project management techniques for assigned projects including management updates.
C. Investigate and justify new equipment as required.
D. Service the floor during required and start-up times.
E. Be available for special projects when assigned.
F. Be responsible for methods as well as process.
G. Develop new standard data by time study or MTM as needed.
IV. Qualifications
Experience: Three (3) plus years of M.E. experience.
Education: Degree in Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent.
Personal: Must be able to communicate effectively with people and deal with people in an open and businesslike manner.
