We currently have an opening for a Quality Assurance/Welding Specialist. Experience in the rail car repair and manufacturing industries are a major plus.
This position is responsible for activities within major repair shops and mobile mini operations related to Welding/ Procedures / QA training, processes, technical support and auditing to ensure quality assurance compliance, both internally and externally.
The Quality Assurance/Welding Specialist will be responsible for, but not limited to:
* Auditing & Compliance Participate in or lead internal audits of locations to assure the minimum regulatory and customer requirements are being followed.
* Training Perform instructional classroom and practical hands-on training of employees in all methods of Welding, NDE/NDT where applicable, quality assurance, internal / external procedures and special processes. Maintain and revise all training documentation and procedures as needed to comply with changes to industry or customer requirements. Teach compliance to the industry requirements of AAR MSRP, M-1002, Section C, Part III
* Quality Enforce and help all levels of employees recognize quality as a key element of customer satisfaction and meeting business goals. Participate in providing quality assurance training to all employees.
* Industry Involvement Support all necessary industry events as assigned by the Vice President of Quality Assurance to keep up to date with all industry, regulatory and customer issues.
