Need Welder/Fitter Job
Location: VA - Virginia Beach
Combination Welder/Fitter with at least two years shipboard experience.
Must be able to read and interpret blue prints, for layout of equipment to be installed. Able to obtain security clearance, able to travel.
Has knowledge to weld metal components together with SMAW, S/S SMAW, GMAW, and BRAZING. Pipe fitting and TIG welding is a plus. Use a variety of arc and gas welding equipment to fabricate or repair products such as foundations, cable collars, cable/pipe/vent hangers, cable tube penetrations, studs, etc.
Performs related tasks such as thermal cutting (PLASMA or TORCH) and grinding. Repairs broken or cracked parts, fills holes, and increases size of metal parts. Positions and clamps together components of fabricated metal products preparatory to welding.
HS plus two years related experience or AS in related field.
Must pass precertification company welding test.
Must travel as required.
Must be able to obtain and maintain security clearance.
